    2011/2012 MISSION , GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

     

    MISSION :      THE MISSION OF THE MONMOUTH CANCER COALITION IS TO INCR EASE AWARENESS, EDUCATION AND ACCESS TO CANCER SCREENING AND CHRONIC DISEASE CARE THROUGH DEVELOPING AND SUSTAINING COLLABORATIVE RELATIONSH IPS WITHIN THE COMMUNITY FOR THE PURPOSE OF REDUCING CANCER AND CHRONIC DISEASE MORBIDITY AND MORTALITY IN MONMOUTH COUNTY .

     

     

    GOAL:             TO ADVANCE THE 2008-2012 NEW JERSEY COMPREHENSIVE CANCER CONTROL PLAN BY PROMOTING EDUCATION, COLLABORATION AND ACCESS IN MONMOUTH COUNTY.

     

     

    OBJECTIVES:

     

    1. Implement at least one new or expanded project focused on a priority cancer, by June 2012. 
    2. Implement at least one project focused on tobacco control/cessation, by June 2012.

    1. Maintain outreach efforts to underserved populations through NJ-CEED, Ongoing.

    1. Meet the NJ-CEED targets for Monmouth County , by June 2012.

    1. Promote consumer education on provisions and benefits of Health Care Reform, by June 2012.

    1. Continue to offer networking and educational opportunities to Coalition members, Ongoing.
    2. Expand linkages with public and private organizations within the county, including fund raising efforts, Ongoing.
