"Learn About Mammograms" Available From the National Cancer Institute

The National Cancer Institute introduces Learn About Mammograms, an online portal for information on breast cancer screening.

This web portal serves as a one-stop resource for women and health professionals to find answers to commonly asked breast cancer screening questions, such as when to have a first mammogram and how frequently to have them.

Women and health professionals can view and print mammography resources at NCI's Learn About Mammograms site.

To talk with an NCI information specialist in English or Spanish, call the National Cancer Institute's Cancer Information Service toll-free at 1-800-4-CANCER (1-800-422-6237) or chat online at cancer.gov/livehelp, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Eastern Time. The service is free and confidential.
