Monmouth County Community Partnerships for a Tobacco Free New Jersey

The Monmouth County Community Partnerships for a Tobacco Free New Jersey are dedicated to reducing the acceptability of tobacco use, exposure to second-hand smoke and increasing the number of adults who quit tobacco use. We also educate communities about the NJ Smoke-free Air Act and laws prohibiting the sale of tobacco to minors.

Monmouth County Community Partnerships for a Tobacco Free New Jersey

As of July 2008, the former Communities Against Tobacco Coalition has
been renamed Monmouth County Community Partnerships for a Tobacco Free
New Jersey.  The NJ Department of Health and Senior
Services/Comprehensive Tobacco Control Program has made tobacco control,
treatment and training top priorities and has developed a comprehensive
and integral program to address them.  Community-based tobacco control
efforts will continue to focus on community mobilization,
population-based health communication through earned media and policy
action to increase adult smoking cessation and reduce involuntary
exposure to secondhand smoke.
