The Monmouth County Cancer Resource Directory is a project undertaken by the Outreach and Education Work Group of the Monmouth Cancer Coalition. The directory focuses on agencies located within the county in order to assist cancer patients, family and friends who wish to identify nearby resources. Directories of regional resources can be found on the Coalition's website at http://www.monmouthcancercoalition.org. In addition, the American Cancer Society provides an extensive online directory of local, state and national resources which can be found on its website at http://www.cancer.org.
The Monmouth Cancer Coalition is made possible by a grant from New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services' Office of Cancer Control and Prevention with the Visiting Nurse Association of Central Jersey as grant recipient. The mission of the Monmouth Cancer Coalition is to implement the New Jersey Comprehensive Cancer Control Plan in Monmouth County. Our members number over seventy individuals from more than forty organizations throughout the county. The database was initially obtained from the Cancer Resource Database of New Jersey (CRDNJ), a project sponsored by the New Jersey Office of Cancer Control and Prevention.
