FREE weekend retreat for families who have lost a loved one to cancer

CancerCare's Healing Hearts Camp offeres recreational activities that are combined with therapeutic grief activities to provide emotional outlets. For more information click here for the Healing Hearts Camp brochure.
The weekend is offered free to all families who have lost a child, sibling, parent or grandparent to cancer within the last two to three years. A maximum of 20 families will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. All families will be assessed by a CancerCare social worker to determine if the camp will be appropriate for their needs. Activities will be geared toward children ages 5 through 17. The camp will offer regular summer camp activities such as swimming, boating, rock climbing as well as grief activities facilitated by CancerCare social workers. The weekend will give families an opportunity to enjoy each other, share experiences with other families while providing both fun and healing activities.
Activities include: rock climbing, archery, sharing, fishing, swiming, zip line and high ropes.
June 11th, 12th, and 13th
